How should you prepare for race day?????
Before race day, try running in mud run conditions. We recommend that you wear old clothes and shoes you can throw away when finished! Bring lots of duct tape, runners tend to lose shoes along the way!
Jump into a bog or a lake, then go for a run. You'll quickly determine which pieces of clothing won't work. It would be infuriating to discover half-way through the Mud Run on event day that your clothing or shoes are uncomfortable when wet and muddy.
The most important thing to keep in mind......the Mud Run is supposed to be fun!
Other commonly asked questions:
Will I get wet? DEFINITELY!
Will I get dirty? GUARANTEED -- THE CLOTHES YOU WEAR WILL NEVER COME CLEAN!
Will I lose my shoes? BETTER BRING A ROLL OF INDUSTRIAL DUCT TAPE! YOU'LL WANT TO TAPE YOUR SHOES TO YOUR PANTS SO THE MUD PITS DON'T SUCK THEM RIGHT OFF YOUR FEET!

The USO of Missouri, Inc.... Support Our Troops!
You have seen this statement on everything from yellow ribbon magnets to yard signs to bumper stickers, but is that all it is, a bumper sticker slogan? To those of us at the USO of Missouri, it is much more…it is a call to action!

Support Our Troops means the Air Force officer; his wife and young children were able to relax at the James S. McDonnell USO while waiting for a flight to Germany on a two-year deployment. Support Our Troops means the young Marine on his way to Korea didn’t have to pay for overweight luggage because a USO volunteer was able to get the charges waived by the airline supervisor. Support Our Troops means the seriously wounded Army Sergeant, flying into St. Louis from a hospital, was greeted at the gate by the USO of Missouri, and the group of MP’s returning from Iraq at 3:00 AM saw USO of Missouri volunteers waving American flags to welcome them home.
The USO of Missouri serves over 325,000 military men and women each year by the dedicated support of its volunteers at three permanent locations and with the Mobile USO. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine, and Coast Guard members all recognize the USO of Missouri as a place where they can experience a touch of home.
We are living in challenging times. Our economy is not what we’d like it to be. Food prices, fuel prices, and healthcare premiums are all rising. There is no doubt that all of us need to tighten our belts when it comes to charitable giving, but as you decide which worthy organizations you are going to give to please remember the Air Force Officer and his family, the Marine, the troops at Fort Leonard Wood, the injured soldier, and all the other military personnel who serve our country and protect you.
9:30 AM shotgun start.
