On Tuesday, August 12th, my mom, my 11 month old son and I spent the night in the STL USO after a very long day of delayed flights, missed connections and canceled hotel reservations. I have taken advantage of the USO several times before on short layovers in the Dallas airport, but I never stayed more than 10 or 15 minutes, let alone overnight. We arrived at 10pm after calling several hotels in the area only to find there was no availability. We were greeted with open arms by the friendliest, kindest, most considerate staff. We were given toiletries and a place to sleep and we are forever grateful. Traveling with a baby is hard enough, but when you add in complications, it is a whole new ball game. The staff that night at the St. Louis airport was absolutely fantastic. Thank you! ~Morgan Moeller

Thanks for keeping this place nice for us to come in and use! This was my first visit to a USO and I was here for 11 hours, overnight. I couldn't have asked for a more accommodating stay. ~per comment card

The volunteers at St. Louis, MO USO are so caring and compassionate. It really takes special people to give so freely of their time. I hope I can find somewhere to make a difference in my community when I get home. The volunteers have motivated me to get to work. Thanks. ~per comment card

I just wanted to send a short note to say thank you and to give a Bravo Zulu to the USO at Lambert International Airport in St. Louis. Specifically to the Volunteers. I recently moved from Illinois to the DC Metro area (Occoquan, VA) and I am still a drilling reservist attached to a Joint Unit at Scott AFB. Not wanting to give up my billet, I will be flying monthly for the drill weekend. On my first trip last Friday, the flight to St. Louis was a snap with no issues. However, getting back to DCA from STL was a nightmare. Flight had a delay, then we boarded, then we deplaned, another delay and then they cancelled the flight. I was on standby for the last flight out and did not get a seat. I had a seat on the 0550 flight out the next morning, however, I did not want to drift too far away so I went to the USO. I spent the night at the USO and I was fed, given a place to store my gear, given a blanket, pillow and a bed to sleep in. The next morning I had breakfast and given items to freshen up with. Many thanks for the service the USO provides. It made a big difference. ~LT Paul Wetmore, US Navy

Service was great. Warm and friendly volunteers. Especially a welcome sight was the donation box. Yes, although a service member, I am honored to donate to those that serve us. Thank you very much. ~Engerson, Todd M. USMC 1990-1994, US Army 2001-2005, National Guard 2005 -

I came to the USO, unsure of where to turn.. I arrived in St. Louis to find out I had no lodging. I cannot afford a hotel room and due to emergency circumstances, I had nowhere else to go. When I walked into the USO, I was warmly greeted, assisted with sign in and checking my bags. I was given a tour and offered the greatest service anyone has ever shown me. I was pretty hungry and was given my choice of food and drink. Needless to say, I am in pure awe. Being treated like a loving family is truly a blessing. I hope you all know how thankful I am for the generosity that has been shown to me. I hope to repay it! Thank you! ~Krystal Henning

The St. Louis USO is a must stop for my kids every time we fly to visit Grandparents. We found new board games, increased our library, and got some great snacks for the flight. The people are always friendly. For a CG family that frequently feels separate from the military, it is a blessing! God bless you! ~ Brandi Jacob & Jacquelyn
